Cookie policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to change it. Non-essential categories are off until you turn them on.
How consent works here
On your first visit a banner asks you to Accept all, Reject, or Customise. Nothing in the Analytics or Marketing categories runs until you allow that category. Your choice is stored for one year and can be changed at any time from in the footer.
The choice itself is kept in your browser (localStorage) and
mirrored to a first-party cookie named pa_consent so the
server honours it too. Clearing site data resets it and the banner
returns.
Categories
Strictly necessary — always on
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
sessionid | Keeps you signed in. | Session / 2 weeks |
csrftoken | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | 1 year |
pa_consent | Remembers your cookie choice. | 1 year |
theme (localStorage) | Remembers light / dark preference. | Until cleared |
These cannot be switched off — the site does not function without them.
Analytics — optional, off by default
Would record anonymous, aggregated usage (which projects are viewed, where applications stall) to help us improve the flow. No analytics cookies are set unless you enable this category. None are active today; the category exists so consent is already recorded if we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool later.
Marketing — optional, off by default
Would measure recruitment campaigns that bring contributors to the site. None are set today.
Third-party tags
The site loads no third-party scripts. If that changes, any such tag is injected only after you consent to its category, through the gating mechanism in our consent script — never before.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Open at any time to change categories, or clear this site's data in your browser to reset everything. See the privacy policy for how we handle the personal data you submit.
